KARA M. WOLKE is an "of counsel" attorney with Phillips, Erlewine & Given LLP. Kara graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Economics from The Ohio State University, where she later earned her J.D. (with honors) and was an active participant in the Intellectual Property Moot Court Team. In 2005, she was a finalist in the "Entertainment Law Initiative" national writing competition co-sponsored by the American Bar Association and the Grammy® Foundation for her article titled "Some Catching Up To Do: How the U.S., in Refusing to Fully Sign on to the WPPT's Public Performance Right in Sound Recordings, Fell Behind the Protections of Artists' Rights Recognized Elsewhere," 7 Vand. J. Ent. L. & Prac. 41 (2005).
Kara began her career with a focus on commercial and class action litigation, and her current practice also spans entertainment and intellectual property law. Kara works out of the firm's Los Angeles office.
