NICHOLAS A. CARLIN, Partner of Phillips, Erlewine & Given LLP, specializes in internet and technology related matters, intellectual property law, entertainment law, business law and commercial and tort litigation in state and federal courts. He is also a registered US Patent Agent. Nick represents a wide range of clients, including internet and other technology companies, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, film producers, writers, recording artists and producers, and injured persons and consumers. Nick has taught at Hastings College of the Law, the University of California at Berkeley Law School (Boalt Hall), and the University of San Francisco School of Law. Nick is a US National Chess Master and is principal cellist with the Symphony Parnassus in San Francisco. He serves as vice chair of the San Francisco PUC Citizens Advisory Committee, focusing on renewable power issues. Nick graduated from Harvard University in physics and received his law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
