Music industry legend Dell Furano passes away

September 4, 2021 — It is with great sadness that the firm learned that music industry executive Dell Furano passed away today. Dell was a friend and loyal client of the firm going back to the Bill Graham days. He ran Bill’s original concert t-shirt business which morphed into Winterland Productions, of which Dell was a principal and CEO. Winterland was the first and for a time biggest music merchandiser in the world. Over the years the firm’s partners represented Winterland and Dell’s later ventures in a range of matters. His most recent venture was Epic Rights where he handled the licensing and merchandising needs of acts like AC/DC, Kiss and others. A Stanford graduate, Dell was wickedly smart, a good businessman with wit and an ironic sense of humor. He was a legitimate trailblazer and like his mentor, Bill Graham, lived and breathed the rock and roll business. Dell Furano was part of this firm’s professional life for over 40 years. He will be missed.
